If the Qur'an isn't truly the word of God, why has it remained unchanged while other scriptures have undergone multiple revisions?

“If the Qur’an isn’t truly the word of God, then why has it remained unchanged while other scriptures have undergone multiple revisions?”

This is a profound religious and historical question that can be analyzed from the perspectives of theology, comparative religion, and linguistics.   According to Islamic belief, the Qur’an is the final and eternal scripture revealed by God Himself, who promises to protect it from any alteration.

From the very beginning, there has been a strong tradition of memorizing the Qur’an, and it was compiled into a single, standardized text during the caliphate of Uthman ibn Affan. The Qur’anic verse affirming God’s protection (Surah Al-Hijr 15:9) reinforces this conviction.

In contrast, other scriptures such as the Bible, Torah, and Psalms were written over many centuries by various authors, and they have gone through numerous revisions, edits, and rewritings, resulting in multiple versions and textual variations.

This question is important for examining the authenticity of religious beliefs, understanding the historical processes of scripture preservation, and appreciating the differences among various religious communities.
